Text: Matthew 14:14-20
In the book of matthew14:14-20 Jesus called them to come and eat.
Jesus did not want them to go home hungry.


Jesus then gave them food to eat.
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.  And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.  And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.  He said, Bring them hither to me.  And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.  And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

Some people came here with problems, poverty,  sickness etc.  Today, I say to you that you will not go home empty handed.
Sirs and ma'ams, We are talking about the creator here who is calling you to come and eat with him.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.  For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:2‭-‬6

Christmas mean many   things to different people.

 Some believed that Christmas is the time of drinking, eating, killing, womanizing, immorality etc.

To us as a Christian
(1) it is a time of sharing.
 Jesus thought them how to share in the book Act2:40-47

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;  And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.  And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,  Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 2:40‭-‬47.

(2) it is a time of sharing the word of God, gifts etc.
 (3) It is a time to fellowship.
(4) It is a time to pray together.
If I tell you to sale your car now and share the money with others, you will say that some thing is wrong with this Pastor. You will even throw me out of this church.
Christianity is all about sharing.
Talk to someone about Jesus Christ today.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

God will bless you today, I don't know how Jesus Christ will do it, but I know that he will do it.

We have universal laws and religious laws.
If you do not give, you will not receive.
Show love to others by giving.
Share the great expectation of Jesus Christ.

But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:  For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
Genesis 40:14‭-‬15.

We have not invited you to come and eat rice, but to come and eat what God will use to heal all your problems .
The most important thing you and I can do right now is to share the word of God and his love with others.

It is well.
