PASTOR SUNDAY A
TOPIC: THE STORY
OF THE ISRAELITES AND THE MOUNTAIN MOVERS
BIBLE READING: JEREMIAH
29: 11
Let’s
go to Jeremiah 29:11. I will be talking today about the story of the Israelites and the mountain movers.
Jeremiah
29:11 NKJV
“For
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace
and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
According
to what we have read, I’m going to talk about the story of Israelites.
You
know the grace of God as I have said initially is that God’s thought towards us
is of good. God have good plans for us to enjoy this life and the life in heaven.
Praise the lord.
Yes,
challenges may come our way, but God does not plan that we should perpetually
be in that challenge. God want us as a Christian to be happy, to be joyous, to
be strong. And I pray, we’ll work in the purpose of God for our lives in Jesus
name, Amen.
According
to what we have read, I am going to talk about the story of the Israelites, their
journey in the wilderness.
Deuteronomy 1:19-46... according to the bible,
600,000 Israelites left the Land of Egypt, and the promise of God is clear to
them, and the promise is that, I am taking you to a land flowing with milk
and honey, to have a peaceful, and a joyful life.
But as
they were going, mountain begin to rise on their path, and at the end of the
day, mountain was able to struck them, remaining only 2 people that entered
into the promised land.
1 Corinthians
10... God wants us to learn from the story of the Israelites.
Many
believers spend their years in wilderness...
Why must
we spend all our days in the wilderness, and die in the wilderness? They spent their
days in pain and die in pain, They spent their days in disappointment and die in
it. Because something stopped them. And that is what I want us to consider, that
you must not allow any thing to stop you.
The
remaining days you have hear on earth, you must be deliberate to leave it well
in peace, and in joy. So that you will be able to fulfil God’s purpose in your life.
Deuteronomy
1:19 to 46
The
children of Israelites developed fear on their way to the promised Land. The children of Israelites
lived their lives in fear...
The
Devil has used fear to destroy a lot of people.
As a
child of God we need to deal with fear.
Fear
make people not to achieve the purpose of God in their lives. They leave their
lives in fear.
The
Devil does not have power over us, he make use of fear as an instrument to
capture many people unto himself. That
is the reason why the Bible say “fear not”
You
need to conquer the fear of Death.
Fear
make people to live miserable life.
Daniel
did not die because he was not afraid to die.
The
fear of what will my tomorrow be...
That
is the reason why the bible says “I wish above all things, that your soul
prosper and be in good health “
The
second thing they did is that they believe that they cannot take the Land.
God has given them the Land, but because of fear, they think that they cannot
conquer the Land. Don’t leave your life based on the opinion of Men, let your
decisions be based on the opinion of God.
This
same people saw all the miracles God did for them, yet they allowed fear to
keep them stagnant. St
Because
of the system of life some people have created, they don’t want people to tell
them the truth in church.
If
you are a child of God resisting the truth, the Devil have a way to deal with
you... has a Christian, always embrace the truth... because the truth shall set
you free.
As a
child of God, Don’t say that i cannot go to my village because of Demons, You
are the one to cast out demons, not the other way round, so fear not.
1
John 2:15
When
people Saw, Goliath has a Giant, David did not see giant, he saw a man that has
defiled the name of the Lord,..
David
was able to bring Goliath down.
They
all died in the wilderness after 40 years, because they allowed fear to rule
them, because they believed the opinion of men instead of the opinion of God.
Talk
to God to remove that fear from your live.
God
is taking us out of the wilderness today in Jesus name
AMEN!
