HEARKEN UNTO GOD ( TAKE INSTRUCTIONS FROM GOD)

BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 28: 1-13

Hearken unto God is our topic. 

It could also mean, taking instructions from God, act according  to God’s order, Carrying out God’s mandate, obedience to God’s commandments. 

According to Deuteronomy 28:1

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth...”

To be above all nations of the earth is very simple, all you need is obedience unto God. For example, you want to go into places, the Bible says Jesus preached in Villages and in cities. So you must carry out God’s instructions...

Act 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

 This place...talks about receiving power when the holy ghost come unto us. This power is not for fight,  or to demonstrate how big or connected we are, but the power of evangelism. God has given us a great commandment to go into the world and preach the gospel.

Go into the nations and preach the gospel unto every creature.

A lot of people have not heard about Jesus.  People are perishing every day. We need to Harken into the word of God and preach the gospel. Hearken unto God simply means carrying out God’s order, God’s instructions. When you carry out God’s instructions, there are blessings that God has reserved for those who carry out God’s instructions. “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them” Deuteronomy 28:2‭-‬13

The condition for every man to be bless is to hearken, this simply means obedience. 

There are blessings you’ll get from carrying out God’s mandate. 

Blessed shall you be in your going out and coming in. 

Is there any battle you are fighting both physically and spiritually, God will fight for you  today in Jesus name Amen. 

The lord will prosper you financially and in all ramifications.

Nobody is our problem, our problem is simply because we have not hearken unto the word of the Lord.

God is giving  us instructions on a daily basis, only if you will listen. may God give us the grace to hear and obey his voice in Jesus name, Amen.

Nicodemus came to Jesus Christ and asked “what shall I do to be save” and Jesus said that he must be born again.

Jeremiah 18:1 

If God is still correcting us when we go wrong, then we are bless...

The life that is given to us is for a purpose. You are just a caretaker. Give your life today to Christ if you have not done so before.

There are some rivers that you cannot cross on your own. You need a helper. Jesus is the only one that can get you to the other side of the River.
